Acting is not just about performance—it is also a business. Understanding how the industry works allows you to make better decisions and avoid common mistakes. It also will give you more confidence about what you are doing. Any profession requires the basic skills and knowledge to understand it and perform it well. Acting is no different.

Some actors show up only knowing a few basic acting ideas and think they’re ready for Hollywood! The idea should be to not only learn your acting craft with reputable acting classes, but to also learn and understand the business as a whole.
